Our mission here at TFC is to help all people know Christ personally and grow in His service, with a passion for Him and a
compassion for others.
''Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant...'' (Matthew 20:26 NIV)
''Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an
inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving'' (Colossians 3:23-24 NIV)

TFC WELCOMES NEW DIRECTOR OF MUSIC AND WORSHIP
Starting March 1, KATHY GIFFIN – seen in the accompanying
picture – will become TFC’s new Director of Music and Worship.
Kathy married Tim Giffin in Sept. of 1981. Tim went home to be
with the Lord on Feb. 7, 2002. They have three grown children:
Rachel, Sarah and Daniel.
Kathy has served as the Director of Music and Worship at Calvary
Evangelical Church for the past nine years. Rev. Clark Williman –
the current and interim pastor, and Rev. Ray Feeck – a previous
senior pastor there for 16 years – both highly recommended Kathy.
Kathy’s position will be half-time. Her responsibilities will involve:
· Getting acquainted as quickly as possible with Worship Team
members, as well as members of our Sound and Projection Teams.
· Leading the Worship Team in its ministry each Sunday morning in both services.
· Coordinating all of the workings of our Worship, Sound, Projection and special music as they
pertain to our services.
· Writing chord charts, making vocal tapes and rehearsing with the vocalists and
instrumentalists of the Worship Team each week.
· Training, mentoring and encouraging the Worship Team and auxiliary teams in spiritual
growth & worship intimacy.
· Providing visual and audio material to the senior pastor to coordinate with the sermon theme
in each service.
· And finally, leading – under the supervision of the senior pastor – the worship life of the
congregation in the Sunday AM services.
Kathy will begin her ministry with TFC on March 1. She will lead worship in our two Sunday AM
services on March 7, as well as the Singspiration that evening. Please give her a WARM TFC
WELCOME!
FAITHFUL SERVICE
WAS GREAT HELP
IN TIME OF
TRANSITION
Ever since Jeff Cotrell resigned as TFC’s Director of Music and Worship last July,
TFC Worship Team members ERIC BURK and MANDY FIFER have worked together to co-lead our
times of Praise and Worship. They did this on a volunteer basis, despite their very busy work and
family schedules.
Let us express our love and appreciation to them for this service through notes and cards, verbally
and physically – with lots of hugs!
We hope and pray that they will join with Kathy Giffin as she takes over the helm as our new
Director of Music and Worship in March.Together our Worship Team will be even stronger.
The new Women's Bible Study will be meeting on the last Thursday
of the month. The next one will be March 25 at 6:30 in the Fireside Room.
The assignment is to read the introduction and 1st chapter of the Bad Girls
of the Bible book.
Gospel Expo Coming!
Four nights of gospel music concerts are coming to the Family Life Center in April, as
Trinity hosts the 9th annual Southern Gospel Music Expo. The award-winning Talley Trio
will headline the finale concert on Sunday night. The concerts begin at 7 p.m. on Thursday,
6 p.m. on Friday, 5 p.m. on Saturday and 6:30 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free and a
love offering will be received each evening to help with expenses.
Membership Classes
Our membership class is basically an introduction to our church family and is required for
membership. Since we have attendees from many different church backgrounds, this
class is designed to clearly explain who and what our church is, believes, expects and
offers. Please call the office if you would be interested in participating. Classes have yet
to be scheduled depending on interest shown.
WHICH WAY DO THEY GO?!
We appreciate the generosity of our church family and how you give to the various ministries of the
church. Please be mindful that because of the many donations coming into the church office it is
necessary that you mark your items with the name of the ministry to which you are donating,
insuring they get to the area that you intended. Items such as toothpaste, soap, food products,
etc. can be used in several different areas. Thus, items not marked will be distributed to any one of
our ministries as we see the need. As a matter of concern several large bags of crocheted
afghans were left outside the church doors with no direction as to what they were to be used for.
This is a wonderful blessing and we want to use them to your wishes. If you know what these
afghans were intended for please contact the church office.
FOOD PANTRY~ Thank you to those who have donated to the food pantry. We
know times are hard and we appreciated your sacrifice. The Banquet Table Food
Pantry is in need of cereal, canned soup, tomato juice, kidney and pork beans,
sloppy joe sauce and mustard and mayo.
Support our Troops
Sandy Smith continues to ship off care packages to our soldiers. Four more have
been added to her list so that means more goodies to put in those boxes are
needed! Please drop those items off at he church office. A list of suggested items
is in the foyer. AND be sure to give a big thanks to Sandy for being so faithful with
this outreach!
Altar Flowers
If you would like to sign up for altar flowers in 2010 to celebrate a special occasion or in
memory of a loved one, please sign up on the bulletin board by the church office or call
the church. You may pick up the flowers anytime after the morning services or during
the week.
FINANCIAL GIVING
As in the past, in order to get proper credit for your 2010 giving and to receive a year
end contribution statement, you must put your offering in a blue offering envelope and
fill it out completely, with your first and last name legibly. If you would prefer an assigned
number, rather than filling out your name, call the office. Thanks!
