As part of its U.S. tour, The Children of the World International Children
Choir will be in Van Wert for a Mother’s Day evening concert at Trinity Friends
Church on May 11 at 6:30 p.m.
The choir is comprised of 16 boys and girls, ages 6 to 11, from the Philippines, India
and Uganda, Africa. Their high-energy and inspiring program will feature songs in both
English and their native dialects, as well as stirring personal testimonies.
The children have performed in such venues as Focus on the Family, Brooklyn Tabernacle, Crystal
C Cathedral and Disney World. The choir is the music outreach of World Help, a ministry representing
the needs of millions of innocent hurting children whose lives have been devastated by the effects
of famine, civil wars and preventable diseases such as HIV/AIDS.
“We are pleased to host this entertaining and inspiring group of children for this
special Mother’s Day concert. We encourage families to attend church with their mothers, enjoy the day, and then bring mother to be entertained and encouraged by
these young people in the evening,”
says Associate Pastor Neil Hammons.
There is no admission charge and a love offering will be taken to assist the choir and World Help. The children will be spending two nights in Van Wert, staying with
host Trinity Friends families. Trinity Friends Church is located Van Wert’s northeast edge at 605 North Franklin Street.
