FOOD PANTRY~ Thank you to those who have donated to the food pantry. We  know times are hard
and we appreciated your sacrifice. The Banquet Table Food Pantry is in need of cereal, canned soup,
tomato juice, kidney and pork beans, sloppy joe sauce and mustard and mayo.

Support our Troops
Sandy Smith continues to ship off care packages to our soldiers. Four more have been added to her
list so that means more goodies to put in those boxes are needed! Please drop those items off at he
church office. A list of suggested items is in the foyer. AND be sure to give a big thanks to Sandy for
being so faithful with this outreach!

Altar Flowers
If you would like to sign up for altar flowers in 2010 to celebrate a special occasion or in memory of a loved
one, please sign up on the bulletin board by the church office or call the church. You may pick up the flowers
anytime after the morning services or during the week.

FINANCIAL GIVING
As in the past, in order to get proper credit for your 2010 giving and to receive a year end contribution
statement, you must put your offering in a blue offering envelope and fill it out completely, with your first and
last name legibly. If you would prefer an assigned number, rather than filling out your name, call the office.
Thanks!

SWAT BIBLE FUND UPDATE
We have been a fund since 11-01-05, three months shy of five years. Recently we pledged all our funds in our
account through the month of June to July 4th to EFM Missionary Benson Sam in India to buy bibles for his
people there. We are able to do this thanks to your support, prayers and financial, to send Benson enough
money for 150 bibles. This brings us to 2,216 bibles given or placed so far to date. Please continue to pray
that the Holy Spirit continues to move in this Ministry.

LAND OR CELL??
With so many people dropping their land lines and
using their cell phones as their only contact
number we are finding it increasingly difficult to keep numbers current. Please let the office know if you have
a change in your phone number or address. We would like to keep our information as updated as possible
Upward Season is Underway

The first week of January will be our fourth week of practices, in preparation for games
to start on Saturday, January 7. Games, which will continue through Saturday, February
25, will start at 8:00 a.m. and the final game will conclude at 4:00 p.m.
This will be our tenth season and we have 216 basketball players and 52 cheerleaders,
for a total of 268 children and their families to minister to over the next two months. The
basketball coaches and cheer coaches have done a great job getting their teams and
squads ready for the opening game.
There are still key areas where you can help. Sharon McConahay is still in need of
concession helpers from mid-morning through the afternoon. And Kay Miller can always
use more members on his prayer team, will to pray for the Upward ministry on a daily
basis.  You can sign up to help in these areas at the information station in the sanctuary
lobby.
Also this season, we have a dynamic two-person team taking over for Devotion
Commissioner Angie Murphy, who has moved into the coaching ranks. Ryanne
Bollenbacher and Kim Saylor will be lining up half-time devotion speakers for the
games. If you would like to share a 3to 5 minute devotion with the Saturday crowd, let
them know. This is a great part of the ministry to the parents and grandparents who will
be here to support the kids. Each year  we receive feedback from family members to tell
us how much they looked forward to the half-time devotions.
Come and enjoy some games and a snack or meal from what the kids call our “awesome
concession stand.” Your support of the kids and this important ministry will be greatly
appreciated.
