Music

Music is an important form of ministry at Trinity Friends. Psalm 149:1 says, ''Praise
the Lord. Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise in the assembly of the saints.''

There are many avenues to minister through music at TFC. The Worship Team
consists of a wide variety of vocal and instrumental musicians from within the
church Body. This group leads the congregation in praising and worshipping the
Lord. The worship team leads during all of the regular morning and evening
services at the church.

Those who feel led of the Lord to share their talent in a more individual way share
what we call ''specials.'' These musical numbers come at some point during the
Sunday service and can be either vocal or instrumental.

For those who enjoy singing in a group, there are adult and children's choirs, and
each sings once a month. The adult choir also performs cantatas or musical
dramas for the Christmas and Easter season. This group is open to everyone over
the age of thirteen.

In addition to the Children's Choir, which practices on the last Sunday of the month
during the 10:30 service, the children enjoy the latest in contemporary children's
praise and worship music when they meet in the Praise Pit. The children also
present musicals once or twice a year, and perform on the stage of the Family Life
Center.

The strong emphasis placed upon music at TFC is aimed solely toward uplifting
the Body and praising the Lord.
